Please note that at the moment it is illegal to export a Mongolian breed dog outside of Mongolia.
Having a pet related emergency so far from your preferred veterinarian can be a stressful situation. Upon the arrival of your pet, a member of the M.A.D. staff will accompany you to the two international standard veterinarian practices in Ulaanbaatar as well as show you the single dedicated pet shop in Ulaanbaatar. A list of all shops that stock pet food will also be provided along with emergency numbers for both vet practices.
Russian, American and Mongolian vets are available in UB but bear in mind that equipment is limited and none of the practices in the country can carry out sophisticated surgery nor do they have up to date diagnostic equipment.
A small, nearly insignificant tax payment is required by law for the registration of your pet in Mongolia. While few people actually do pay the tax, it is never the less a legal requirement.
As most of M.A.D.’s staff has pets, we are well aware of the process to pay the tax and will assist you in getting all the paper work ready.
Please note that all vaccinations have to be completed prior to your pet immigration and subsequent registration.
